I like to make maps for video games. I've been doing level design for Doom since 2021, so at the time of writing this, 5 years? Pretty crazy.
Big movie buff... musician, and Listener of All Trades, but my preferences lie in experimental music, typically industrial/gothic, but I like most things except pop-punk and bro-country.
I used to be really into hyperpop when it was coming up but I kind of lost interest. I don't hate it but it's not really my bag. If you want to recommend me stuff either email me or use RateYourMusic.
In terms of specific things I like, most industrial music that isn't Boyd Rice is good. I generally prefer the stylings of bands like Coil or Einstürzende Neubauten over Chemlab or KMFDM, but I'm fine with either.
I like to game, but not as much as I used to... these days, I mainly play classic FPS games like Wolfenstein, Doom, Blood, or Half-Life, sometimes checking in on a Minecraft server me and my friends play on.
Huge fan of cyberpunk fiction, no matter the format... books, films, music, paintings, you name it. Big into the 80s-90s style, as I kind of think home computers ruined it, so think stuff like Johnny Mnemonic, Blade Runner, Neuromancer, etc.
I try to pay more attention to how I dress, as well, but I'm mainly into rivethead fashion so that doesn't really matter. I like suits and general 70s stylings, as well, so sometimes I wear those, but not often since it's pretty hot in my area.
Main fashion inspirations are David Bowie, J.G. Thirlwell, Blixa Bargeld and Andrew Eldritch, if I had to put names to it, but I kind of wear whatever I want however I want to.
Other than that, I don't have much else to say. I've been trying to get more into reading, so if you have recommendations for anything send them my way. I haven't defined my taste enough to know what I do and don't like so it's all up in the air.
I'm tolerant of most people unless they're outwardly hateful. I loathe, and I mean loathe generative AI, no matter what, and I do feel a bit superior to people who use it/laugh at it, so depending on your sense of humor we may not get along.
But for the most part, just don't be weird. Obviously I don't fuck with lolicons, shotacons, racists or fascists of any kind, homophobes, transphobes, the usual "don't come 'round here" groups.
I think the last interesting fact about me is that I'm trying to learn German.
